The Three Goddesses

This originally came up as a doodle during class and I decided to finish it up in photoshop.

Zelda Goddesses in a much more human appearance.

I wanted them each to have a hair color that isn't the typical color the be expected for them. For example, Din being fire is usually immediately drawn with red hair. Nayru being water usually has blue hair and Farore usually has green. Instead I decided to go with a different color for their main color and then a fade into the color you would expect for them.

The designs are roughly based off myself and two of my friends as we play the zelda games together and identify with a certain goddess.

Din:
Associated with fire, earth (specifically mountains/volcanoes), power and Ganon(dorf) making her often seen as the "evil" goddess. She created the red earth in it's entirety.
My personal Goddess.
I think my designing in her is pretty obvious. Yellow, red and orange for fire. Black for power. Pretty straight forwards.
Din is the shortest, has the darkest skin, and the smallest nose. All of which are characteristics of myself.

Nayru:
Associated with water, wisdom, and Zelda. Nayru gave law to the land and created space/time.
Emily's Goddess.
The choices for Nayru were a bit more difficult but still pretty easy. I wanted her to be frilly and much softer looking. I decided to add gold because she is associated with law and I guess in my mind law is associated with the color gold... I suppose.
Nayru is the plumpest (thickest), medium height and has freckles across her nose and cheeks. All characteristics of my friend Emily.


Farore:
Associated with wind, forests, courage and Link. Farore is the creator of all life forms in Hyrule.
Kharysa's Goddess.
Farore was the hardest to design color wise because there are only so many variations of green. I decided to go with obvious green and brown, brown for the forest aspect of her. I decided to use gray (or silver) because i personally feel it's a very wind-ish color and then I added purple as an aspect of flowers within a forest.
Farore is the tallest and most slim (stupid tall hot girl). Characteristics of my friend Kharysa.
